How to clean the shell-and-tube evaporator of an industrial chiller? As an important heat exchange component in an industrial chiller, it is necessary to clean it after a period of use to enhance its heat exchange capacity and ensure that the performance of the unit is within good condition.


Industrial chiller cleaning steps:


1. Prepare the air compressor and water source.


2. Remove the short joint on the water pipe of the heat exchanger.


3. Use a Torx wrench or a socket wrench to unscrew the fastening bolts of the heat exchanger head, and rotate the head 180 degrees to expose the heat transfer tube.


4. Insert the nylon brush into the heat transfer tube until the air block on the nylon brush fully enters.


5. Insert the air gun mouth on the heat transfer tube mouth, hold the air gun horizontally, and press the sealing gasket on the air gun mouth.


6. Unscrew the air valve on the air gun, and the compressed air pushes the nylon brush forward. When the nylon brush comes out from the other end of the heat transfer tube, close the air valve.


7. Push the nylon brush back from the other end of the heat exchanger and brush it 3 times repeatedly.


8. Rinse the heat transfer tube with water with a pressure of 0.3MPa.


9. Change a heat transfer tube and repeat the above 3 steps until all the heat transfer tubes are cleaned.


10. Check the color in the heat transfer tube. If the copper color is exposed, it is qualified after washing.


11. Rotate the head back, check whether the sealing gasket of the head is flat, and use a Torx wrench or a socket wrench to tighten the fastening bolts of the heat exchanger head. The tightening torque should meet the requirements of the instruction manual or maintenance manual.


12. Connect the short joint on the water pipe of the heat exchanger.


13. Take care of the scene.
