The evaporator shell of the scraper evaporator is equipped with a heating steam jacket, which is equipped with rotatable blades or scrapers.
There are two types of scrapers: fixed type and rotor type. The gap between the former and the inner wall of the casing is 0.5 to 1.5 mm, and the gap between the latter and the wall varies with the rotation of the rotor.
The material liquid is added in the tangential direction from the upper part of the evaporator (also added to the spoiler that is coaxial with the scraper).
