Shell: A cylindrical tank made of carbon steel or stainless steel, housing the heat exchange tubes.

Tube Bundle: Made of high-quality copper or copper-nickel alloy, the tubes carry refrigerant while cooling water flows over them.

Tube Sheets & Baffles: Support and direct water flow, maximizing turbulence and heat transfer.

Working Principle
High-pressure refrigerant gas enters the tube side.

Cooling water flows across the outer surface of the tubes inside the shell.

As heat is exchanged, the refrigerant condenses into a liquid.

The condensed refrigerant exits to the receiver or expansion valve, while the heated water is discharged or recirculated.
